About Gambier Lavender Lodge and Homestead

Situated on what is often described as ‘the flattest cleared piece of land on Gambier Island’, the Gambier Lavender Lodge & Homestead and its owner are converting a large older home with a small garden and mini lavender farm (~600 plants) to a fully-renovated lodge and homestead.  Since the spring of 2022, we have been hosting guests on the property through a program called Workaway, where travelers get the opportunity to experience life on Gambier Island with free room and board in exchange for help on the homestead.  As of the spring of 2024, our first newly renovated suite for short-term rentals (ideal for friends and family coming to visit Gambier Island residents) is available.  We look forward to welcoming you to our slice of paradise.
